    Default American Express razor id?

    Hello all good people,

Usually I`m good in finding info about razors date, manufacture because SRP has great DB but this one just didn`t come up nowhere to be find.

I think this is even not a razor. More like display model or maybe franchising/ advertising item. Maybe credit card American expressJ
Any help will be great on this one!

    Thank you!

    That is a razor.

It was common in latter part of the 19th Century and early 20th Century to use the word "EXPRESS" to convey that the maker wanted the buyer to think of the item as powerful or fast.

There are a LOT of old black powder and some smokeless cartridges that had an "EXPRESS" designation. Shotgun shells had it into the 60's and 70's as I recall.

Now when I look on close up I think it is French or Canadian razor as E in Depose world looks French letter.

Primrose trademark was used by Gerbruder Krusius (Krusius Brothers) company. The company was founded in 1856, in Solingen. In about 1889, Ewald Krusius and some other members of the family opened an import agency in New York City at 321 Broadway.
In 1894, they moved to 373 Broadway, and by 1906 were at 296 Broadway. They remained at that address until after 1916.
Hulda Krusius joined the import firm, and after the death of Ewald, the firm was moved to 11 First Street, Weehawken, New Jersey. In 1927, the import agency consisted of Hulda and Henry Krusius. The Solingen plant was operated 1913 to 1938 by Erwin Krusius.
They went out of business in 1983.

Primrose trademark was registered in about 1910.
So. Most likely, the razor was made in Solingen 1910-1938.

And here, there is an ad with very similar razor:

I was going to say the same thing. You have a stack of old razor catalogs lying around? I could spend hours and not find a single page. Forget the wiki just going to have to send you PM's if any info is needed. lol Keep up the good work and thanks for all the info you post.
