    Default W&B Bow Regrind?

I am guessing this was a regrind from the looks of the stabilizers. It is a 1/4 hollow grind. Not sure if it was supposed to have the triangle shaped toe, but it doesn't. Almost looks like they were going to make two stabilizers, but stopped half way. Not sure as to when this would've been done, but why stop half way. Either way its going to my project box to see what I can do. Still have the horn scales that I should be able to use. Can't tell from the pictures that much, but the grind marks are quite prominent in person. Also I cleaned this blade up some with some polish to try and see what was underneath all the dirt and rust spots.

Not sure if it is a regrind but my W&B Bow has the double stabilizer and the triangular grind at the point, from the top of the spine to the cutting edge. It may have been a regrind or they may have made more than one configuration ? My guess, like yours, is that it was reground.

It will be awhile I think before I really get on this one still trying to decide on how I want to tackle the horn scales. I'm new to horn. Always learning and that is the fun part.

I have worked with horn quite a bit in the past, and it is not 'user friendly' when worked on a belt sander. Do wear a mask, even if you think you can stand the smell. I have had several Doctors tell me that the dust WILL cause infections if you breathe it. FLIP SIDE------ Horn looks GREAT when worked properly. Very Best, and Happy Shaving, John
