Whoah, that's a bad wedge, Brother! At LEAST a 3 layer puppy! I cannot help but think back in this day, the bevel was set more by the honer and less by the spine. Like a knife! Seriously, While the cleanup scratched it good, there does not seem to be too much wear on it. Sweet blade!

One thing I noticed about my old razor is that the pins appear original and it has no wedge.

It'll be fun to get running again.

Surprisingly there is not much wear. I ran it down a hone a few times to see how it lined up and I was surprised. Have to rock it pretty tall on the toe but it will hone like it is without too much trouble.

How VERY interesting! I assumed that my old W&B had lost its wedge, but now I'm kind of doubting that.

At the time I hadn't seen any razors of that vintage that were made without a wedge. Now I've got several, and they're in sufficiently better condition that it's clear they were designed without a wedge.

I'm really wondering now if Wade & Butcher were making razors for Packwood.
