Thread: DOVO Diamant 5/8 Full Hollow

Hello all.

I am new to straight razor shaving and this is my first post.

I am looking into getting my first straight razor (i currently use a replaceable and feel i have good enough technique and like it enough to make the investment of a real razor)

Currently a Dovo Diamant is at the top of my list. I have heard good things about Dovo blades, and to be honest I just think this blade looks cool, ha. However, it is the only blade i have seen that has a black finish on it, which also makes me weary.

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this razor and there opinions on it. Thanks!

I have honed up a ton of these and they are not only good shavers but pretty cool with the bluing or whatever it is they are coated with.

they are deffinatly cool looking razors. but I would check the classifieds here first. for the price of one of those dovo's you might be able to get 2 or 3 vintage shavers that will do the job great and it would also be an awesome start to a lil collection for yourself. either way you go though you will be satisfied. I own 3 dovos and am very satisfied with the shave I get from all of them! enjoy
