Default Some phone calls are more welcome than others

I'm still hyped after the phone call. "Hello, this is Robert Williams." About 19 mo. ago I asked to get on the waiting list, and now is the time. My wallet ran and hid under the couch. Having tasted the Williams Blade after buying a spectacular blade from the honorable Riooso, I wanted another. Being on humble terms w/ life, I couldn't talk myself into spending the entire razor fund on another spectacular blade, so this one will be mostly pedestrian. The only upgrades are the ergo jimp treatment and the antiqued giraffe bone scales. 13/16, 1/4 hol. squarepoint, 2.75" cutting edge length (like my beloved Wacker 1/4 hollow). Like a kid on a sugar high, I drove down the hill to buy a money order and got it off to the honorable Mr. Williams.

The new blade will keep this one company. Name: RW1.jpg

As the one above showed me - the steel does not feel or respond to stones like any other I've honed. 'Not particularly hard to hone at all, but its quite hard and has a distinct feel.

It'll be a pleasure to have one I'm likely to use more. The fancy one is just a joy, but I baby it too much.

Had to steal the jpeg on that one; dropped her in the Dream Razor File.

That is a beautiful razor! Just a tad bit of jealousy on this side of the keyboard.

All the things I forgot when talking to Robert. I like my blades to have just a very slight smile. I like the execution. I said nothing about what form/design the scales should be. I like his scales alot. It was supposed to be somewhat plain. It seems very nice for 'plain'. I can't wait for it to get here.
