I actually have a strop for my current razor. I need to get that one sent in to have it rehoned, have had it for about 2 years now so I think it's due for one. I want to get another razor before I send this one in as I would get pretty furry before it got back! Didn't know it came with a free honing. I send it back to them for a honing? Wow, not bad. Thanks for the advice.

Thanked: 194they are not the exact same razor. the dovo one is a beautiful razor and a greattt shaver. I have owned one for one year now and absolutely love it!!! it stands right beside all my other razors which include vintage ones, kamisoris, and a few customs. I love the way it shaves just as much as my others. the design is ellegant and classic. I got mine from SRD and suggest that you would do the same. They are a fabulous shaver. both the razors are very close but not exactly the same

Spin, I lifted this razor description of The Art of Shaving's $100 straight razor right off their website:
"Product Description: The Art of Shaving Straight Razors are handcrafted by DOVO, a prestigious German razor maker since 1906..."
So while it may not be an identical twin (as in name/logo/scales), the two you are referring to are more than likely twins, just not 100% identical.

During my visit to the St. Louis Art of Shaving store on May 24, the salesgirl told me that Dovo makes three of their razors and Thiers-Issard makes the rest. So the statement in The Art of Shaving's description of their $100 razor is unintentionally somewhat misleading. I just wanted to get this straight f/ those interested.
