Thread: Swap meet find

I scored a Pipe Razor for $15.00 at Kobey's Swap meet today.

It definitely needs some TLC, but as long as the shaving edge isn't rusted through, it should clean up nicely and shave well. Some of my favorite razors are the ones that I got for cheap because they were in such horrible shape. A little sand paper and jeweler's rouge will go a long long way.

Those pipe razors are few and far between. I would send it to one of the restoration professionals here on the forum and see what they think. The "pipe" is deep and clear, a beautiful thing. You might loose the etching on the blade during restore, but worth it to me to keep the pipe.
She would look damn fine with some G10 Ivory on her.
Just my thoughts.

I have a professional knife smith that does my work. I dropped it off with him today. He will use organic media in a tumbler to polish it up.
