Gents,
Saw this on eBay today. Can this blade be saved.

I wouldn't bother...current edge is Swiss cheese and it looks pretty pitted going halfway up the blade.

I agree for two reasons. There is no telling how much material needs to be removed to get a good bevel, the material may be degraded a bit more than is apparent. Second, just honing the edge to get it smooth will bring the bevel into the stabilizer. The heel can be modified to fix the problem but if a significant anount of metal needs to be removed to get good metal on the edge this modification may be significant.
