    Default Filarmonica #13 question

I am looking to round my collection out by adding a Filarmonica. I am looking at two websites and one is more expansive than the other. I know these things are so sought after and that is probably what's driving it.

Is there really a difference between the 13s? Both are NOS btw.

You really haven't given anyone enough info to answer that question,, the obvious answer is if they are the same then buy the cheaper one

Like Glen says, there are quite a few different #13's From Jose Montserrat Pou.
There is also a question of what age it is, there are some who argue that the later production wasn't quite up to snuff compared to the older ones.

Chances are, you are looking at a DT, Doble Temple, then again it could be a Medallon Taurino, a Sub Cero, a Novodur, a Especial Para Barbas Duras or any of the other who was made thru the years.

Those are not NOS first off,

Of course we can only judge by the rather bad pics

The top one looks to be a restored razor and the bottom one looks to need to be restored as there seems to be pitting on the spine

Neither has the Gold Etch that is usually present on the blade faces but I can't tell why from the pics..

Couldn't tell you again from the info which go after

I can't tell from the pics if those are NOS or not, but both seems like DT's alright.

What I cannot tell from the pics are the the gold wash.
Here's a picture of a NOS from my collection as a comparison for you to use in making your decision:

Technically that is right as New Old Stock might not be Mint, but in our circles as Razor Buffs that is the implication, semantics

    Absolutely, I agree.
What it does mean though,IMO, in addition to what Glen said, is that it is basically untouched.
Let's say for instance a buffing has been done to remove rust or stains on a NOS, well, then it ain't a NOS no more
