    Default Shaving with RW Purist

I shaved my first shave with my Purist about two or three weeks ago and was very, very happy with it (right out of the box). I sent RW a thank you because I was so happy it arrived in "shave ready" condition and was a pleasure to shave with. But, little was I aware just how much potential there really is in its inherent ability for extreme sharpness. When I honed it myself, taking it from my coticule through the whole process...well, my God is it incredibly sharp. And, it shaved soooo smoothly, what a pleasure. So, thanks again Robert; it truly was worth every cent I paid.

How does it feel not having scales to hold?

I have wanted a Purist since I first found out they existed.

It feels very natural. Maybe because of the weight, can't explain it. But, he supposedly pays particular attention to the "balance" of the razor - maybe that explains it. For myself, it has [practically] become my everyday razor.

Thanks! I scrapped traditional thinking when I designed this razor and put in all the elements of a razor designed purely for shaving and handling properties, hence the name. Thanks again!

No, thank you Robert. Actually, for myself, it has been a "two" blade rotation; that is, I kind of split my shaving b/w the Hart and the Purist. Each of which I would recommend with absolute equanimity if one had to choose. Bravo to both craftsmen (though I believe the Hart is mass produced but ultimately hand-honed)!
