The seller says:

made in the 1900s. with tortoise shell handle and silver embelllishments.
Made by J E Bleckmann of Solingen Germany. This town has the same reputation as Sheffield Eng for its top quality blade making. Established about 1820,records show that they supplied
swords for the American Civil War of 1861, and bayonets for the First World War.of 1914-18.They also made blades for woodworking tools, like planes,as well as razors.Information for the serious collector is that the blade is 6/8ths wide
and has a full hollow ground.
In very nice condition, but some light spotting, which should clean up with wire wool.
