    Default Short razors

Does anyone out there prefer short razors?

Some mean short as in height - 4/8 vs 7/8. Some mean short as in the cutting edge length. Both have their fans.

I seem to like the shorter cutting edge length. 2.75" length has been a pleasure to use, regardless of blade height.

I've used a couple razors with a shorter cutting edge, and found them pretty easy to use, and preferable in some ways. Normally when I shave, I don't use the entire blade length anyways, so having a shorter blade really just makes more sense to me. That said, I won't be cutting down any full size blades, just to suit my preference. lol. I've got one, and I sent one to a member who wanted one at 2 inch length. He likes his, and I like mine. But I don't think he posts very often.

It sure would make the E/W pass on the neck a lot easier.

We seem to be assuming the OP means short cutting length. If that's the case - I'm w/ shorty. I like the DD Special #1/Dwarf more than the Wonderedge for that reason. When it came time to state the final specs for the Honorable Mr. Williams, it was 2.75" cutting edge length - just like my beloved Wacker 1/4 grind. I just like 'em.
