Does anyone know of honing services in Pennsylvania?
I've been away from straight razor shaving for several years due to work and grad school taking up every second of my time. I just finished grad school and would like to get my razors honed. Normally, I would ship to Lynn, but the cost of insurance plus shipping is about 100.00 round trip and USPS has a nasty habit of losing items I've shipped over the last year. My razors are from 7/8 to 12/8 and I'd be willing to drive a few hours to get 4 or 5 honed.
Thanks!

a couple of hours then is pretty much what Harrisburg, Philly or NYC?... there are more north jersey members than there were when you used to hang around, and it might be close to their meeting....
Glad to see you back!
enjoy,
jim
p.s. you have to show the new kids that blinged out 12/8

I think I remember that razor in your avatar pic. Was it made by a custom knife maker who is no longer a member of this forum?

Thanked: 0Chris Elison is in the member services section and he is in PA. Only charges 10 bucks a piece to hone them. I just got mine back and they are awesome. Hope that helps.

Thanks I won't drive to NYC. Its within range, but its not worth the stress, especially with a big pickup truck and little parking spots hehe.
and next to an 8/8.
Thanks for the offer. I am going to see if anyone is closer to me, but I may take you up on it.
Yes it was and it too needs to be honed, which I'm assuming may be a bit challenging.
Thanks for the info.
