George Wostenholm - Swiss?
There's a George Wostenholm on the bay right now that is claiming it is Swiss. I thought all G. Wostenholm's were made in England. Is it Swiss steel possibly, or was it really made in Switzerland?
The ID is320920948145.

I believe it is made to be swiss style frameback, i.e. http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...storation.html
Here's another: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...e-shop-11.html

I don't know about Swiss steel, but there were quite a bit of Sheffield razors made with Swedish steel. There were also more than a few German razors made with Sheffield steel. This doesn't really answer anything, does it?

No it's not of Swiss origin. Maybe the model is called Swiss or it was made for the Swiss market or it has some other connection to "Swiss".
I don't think the maker had factories in other countries.

I don't think it was made in Swiss. I have wosty blades that have this written on them "The I-XL Improved Swiss (end line) Manufactured Solely By (end line) George Wostenholm & Son" I think this was made at a time when the swiss blades where making a big push in the market so Wostenholm added it to his blade to say his blades were better.

I'm sure they put it on in response to the LeCouture pattern Swiss and French razors that we're new on the scene.

I feel it was a "style" thing with framebacks. The Americans got in on it too!
