Very cool. Where did you get these images?

Explains why me and my electric never got along together!

When you say standard, is that cartridge or straight?

WOW! That's really something! I need one of those microscopes to check my bevel.

The whisker cut by the electric razor might look rougher under high magnification, but imagine what running your hand over it might feel like compared to the one cut by a "standard razor". What looks cooler at a high level of magnification might not feel so good while we're faceturbating. Are we trying to be kind to whiskers here or trying to get smooth shaves?

Well I think this has a lot to do with why a lot of guys have serious skin problems with electric (ingrown hairs). Those pics show that the electric just naws on it like a micro tiger while the razor is a clean cut. I think your photos are proof positive of why some skin problems occur with different shaving utilities. Just a thought

I don't know, those are pictures of hair, not of skin. I would like to know how the two are related (other than the hair grows out of the skin) before making conclusions.

Wouldn't the one cut with the razor have a sharper point to it than the fluffy ended one that the electric yielded???(:-)
