    Default Help With ID

Hi all Im new to this world and look forward to learning and hopefully not killing myself. I picked this up a local auction for 2 bucks is it worth cleaning up and bringing back to life or should I keep looking around? can anybody tell me about the maker? I tried google but was real limited for results. I took these with my phone, if need I can get my camera out for higher res pictures. Thanks for any help!

    Welcome to SRP!
    And my congratulations!
You're the owner of very nice and old razor, that was made by very-known Swedish maker - Johan Engstrom from Eskilstuna.

Very nice, and a full hollow too. Most Engströms I see are frame-backs or quarter-hollows. All of them quality razors.

    Welcome to SRP!

That looks to be a very nice specimen of a Engström, clean it it up a little and send it out for honing and you will be ready to go.

    I still haven't met a Swedish razor that wasn't a great shaver

    Good luck!

Has anybody heard of " Howe & Co. Troy Ny". I have another that was included in my buy it looks like it was a promotional gift from the Rayid Transit company in NYC circa 1920's. I searched the manufacturers list and googled but no luck

Swedish razors are great shavers. I'm not familiar with the Howe but I have so many razors with unknown to us stamps I don't even try to look them up anymore. Get 'er honed and let us know how it shaves.
