Newbie I. D help
Hello there, I was wondering if anybody could help, I bought 4 razors off eBay last week with the intention of restoring them and using them myself and I'm having trouble finding any info about them and what type of razor they are, I don't know myself because I don't know enough about straights myself to id them. The first is a white scaled John heiffor: the other side of the tang is stamped 'patent model', the second is weyer shulze with a white tang the third is a Joseph rogers and sons it has dark browny, black scales, not sure what material is, and the last is a razor just stamped 'ideal' il post images next post, maxed out. .

While I am not familiar with all of the brands they are from the right regions relating to cutlery. The Joseph Rodgers is a well known straight razor manufacturer. I have many a razors w/ unknown to us manufacturers and they shave well. If the razor is from Sheffield, Solingen, the US or Sweden and vintage odds are it's a good shaver. Clean them up if they need it, get them honed and take them for a spin. If they are honed properly, stropped properly and you have a good technique starting with a face prep I'm sure you will enjoy the shave.
