Hello there, I was wondering if anybody could help, I bought 4 razors off eBay last week with the intention of restoring them and using them myself and I'm having trouble finding any info about them and what type of razor they are, I don't know myself because I don't know enough about straights myself to id them. The first is a white scaled John heiffor: Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340995080.223521.jpg

While I am not familiar with all of the brands they are from the right regions relating to cutlery. The Joseph Rodgers is a well known straight razor manufacturer. I have many a razors w/ unknown to us manufacturers and they shave well. If the razor is from Sheffield, Solingen, the US or Sweden and vintage odds are it's a good shaver. Clean them up if they need it, get them honed and take them for a spin. If they are honed properly, stropped properly and you have a good technique starting with a face prep I'm sure you will enjoy the shave.

Plenty of info available using the 'search' facility on this site, for example:

    Heiffor
    Rogers
