Thread: Mooney & Moyer?

Does anyone have info on Mooney & Moyer Philadelphia PA? I just got a razor by this company with aluminum bolsters. I collect mostly PA made or distributed razors. Hanks for any input.

Don't know much but that name came up when looking for info on a different razor as having been sold at the reading terminal market at one time not sure of the years.

Your razor was probably retailed by Mooney & Moyer, which may have been a barber supply company. I saw another razor that was marked just Mooney and it indicated that it was that kind of company. Since you didn't provide any photos, I looked up your razor on eBay and saw it carried the stamp of a woman reclining against a lion. This mark is also stamped on a Droescher razor that I own. So the razor may have been made by Droescher. I don't think the scales are original to the razor. The pivot pin and the area around it shows marks of a not-too-careful job of repinning.
