Default Carl Monkhouse, Ellicotville, NY C MON Blackie 6/8

I picked this up at an antique shop and am very excited about the condition.
I am curious, I thought these were made in Germany. Also when did Peter J. Michels take over the C-MON name? Any Info would be appreciated.

I posted all the info I have in this thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...ooklyn-ny.html It may not answer your questions but feel free to post your pics of this razor there also.

Carl Monkhouse (C-Mon for short) sold razors made in Ellicotville, NY and I think from another location. When PJM took over the brand, exactly when I don't know but the other thread may assist, the razors were made in Germany. Nice razor!

I have that same blade, I have been looking for another. That you just sauntered in to a shop and picked one up causes me extreme envy and I now consider you a spoiled brat!

It is one of my best shavers by far. Takes an extremely scary edge and therefore demands an extra measure of respect in my opinion. And watch that point, it's best feature.

Remember this post if you ever decide it's just one too many to have, and I will of course, liberate you from it's weight!

    sheesh......
