I dry and strop my blades when I am done but they get wet... very wet when shaving, as I dunk my blade in a basin full of water on every shave. Moreover, I hardly ever use oil anymore!

Now it's not that I advocate for this, but after struggling for months trying to maintain my blades with oil, storing them in my bedroom, and generally spending nearly as much time making sure my blades stayed in good trim... well, it took away from my enjoyment. And as far as I could tell, helped very little. Heck I even blued a blade to prevent rust (looks good - smells bad)!

So far, so good with respect to leaving my blades in the old den! If in a year or two I have to sand one down – well that’ll be easy enough for me to do : ). Of course - YMMV

Dude - Ice is for putting in my drink as I smoke a fat cigar!! It's not my fault that I didn't live in a place where getting to the Milk Store meant strapping on a pair and hitching a ride behind a sled LOL!! ; )

But yeah MLA is right... I wouldn't listen either ; )

No way - no how!! I went a round or two with a hockey player once... a forward no less, and he still cleaned my clock!!

Never again : ) You guys are a breed all your own : ).

I say we charter a sailing ship and I'll teach you how to sail, water ski, and show you what everything is under the ocean is as we sail north! When we hit an iceberg - > you can teach me how to skate! : ).

Better yet! As we do all that, we'll leave our razors out in the open and see how the ocean treats em!!

I already know how to ski, and if an organism has more than four legs or fewer than two, I don't like it. Other than that, I'm game! As far as hitting the iceberg, I'm telling you right now I'm DEFINITELY letting you go! (Titanic quote). Leaving the razors in the open sea air, why don't we just use seawater in our scuttles while we're at it? It might be a tad abrasive, though.

And where do you get eucalyptus oil?
Well, I get it from Lobethal, a small town in the Adelaide hills...

PM me your address and I'll send you a bottle. Here it's as common as, ummm, very common stuff is here...

    This made my day!

P.S. I just looked at my clock and my day is only 24 minutes old.

Oh, well, heaps of time left for something worthwhile to come along and make it then :-)

Eucalyptus Oil, They don't squeeze Koala's to get that, do they? On a serious note, doe's it have a strong smell to it? I'm not a big fan of Eucalyptus.

Yeah, it does have a strong smell, but you can't smell it on the razor when you go to use it.

I'll desist in posting all the witty remarks that the misplaced apostrophe in koalas conjure up...
