Thanked: 0Information about a Gunkel Cyclone
I just purchased a Gunkel B.S. Co. Cyclone straight razor. I understand that it is a german made razor and the home office is/was in St. Louis (says it all on the tang). However, this is the only site that I have found any (and I mean ANY) information on this razor. I can find no other information on the razor or the company behind it. Is this a rare straight razor or is it just a lack of information out there? Thanks in advance.
Also...I've attached a picture of the same model of razor that I found on another thread on this site. I don't have my razor at work with me and I didn't take a picture of it. It is the same model, though...mine is just a little more rough looking.

Welcome to SRP. There were tons of razors made by small companies or for small companies by larger ones. The information on many is lost to the years. Maybe one of our members can find some info for you but I am sure they will ask for a picture of the tang stamps. If you can provide some good quality pics that will increase your odds. Also, some companies stamped info on the tail of the razor so if there are any markings there include pics of them.
