    Default Cleaning before use

    What is the best way to clean and sanitize a razor and de before use. U never know what is floating around on them these days

    When I buy a new vintage razor, and it doesn't need any major work, I try and get most of the sludge and crap off with no chemicals as to not damage anything. I use Q-tips, tooth brush, whatever to get into the small areas. The blade, I use metal polish, to shine it up and make it sparkle. Then just wipe it down with some rubbing alcohol. Use an aerosol duster to dry it off. I also use this after every shave as so water doesn't corrode the hinge of the razor. Like KenWeir said, there's a lot more in SRP on this subject. This is just what I do.
