    Looks to me like it would be a bear to hone with that spine like that. Might be rough on the hone to. Beautiful though

    Fancy spine! I have not seen one like it. It also seems to have a pretty hollow grind. Should make a nice shaver, and a pretty one as well. Most with a spine like that hone just fine. The actual "spine" is under all the fancy stuff up top and protrudes out past it. No problems, I feel! Nice!

    Hone 'er up! I would protect the spine with tape while honing. Joseph Rodgers are very fine shavers. I won't part with any of mine, they are that good!
