Default Help with history of my grandfathers DE razor

I was cleaning out some boxes and came across my grandfathers de razor. I am planning to add it into my shaving rotation but wanted to see if anyone new what year it was from. I know they started making the Super Speed black handles in 1969 but wasn't able to find much more. On the bottom of the razor it says: Reg US U, PAT OFF 1, Gillette and Made in the USA. Here are some pictures of the razor and thanks to anyone who has any input.

Thanks ryanjewell! Is there a site that has the years for specific Gillette razors?

    No problem!
    There's a few out there...
this is the first one that came up from google: Gillette Date Codes for Safety Razors and Blades

Basically you have the letter (in your case "U"), then a 1, 2, 3, 4...which is the quarter of that year it was made in...
