Razor ID/Information
Picked up this old Sheffield a couple weeks ago, been trying to find some information about it but with no luck.
The stamp on the tang says "W.M.Jackson & Co, Sheaf Island Work, Sheffield"
Does any one here know anything about it/the maker?
In advance, thanks.

I don't but that is a mighty handsome looking wedge. Bet it will be a smooth shaver.

Nice One! 1850-1892. I expect made by water power from the river Sheaf as were many makes. Thats about all I know. Perhaps someone knows more.
Nice scales, I hope you can save them.

Obviously I suck at searching, I think I previously just searched for "Jackson straight razor" or something like that....
When I searched again writing the entire text in the stamp I quickly found this:
William Jackson & Company, Sheaf Island Works - Pond Hill,* Sheffield, UKNeed help or tutoring? Check out the .

Atta Boy, Zephyr. Thanks for the info AND the link. I feel that Cutler's hall link will prove valuable as well!
