If you have a nick in the edge it will affect your shave and should be honed out.
Take a look in the member services in the classifieds, there a several members offering honing service.
Where are you located? It might be there is a member living close by that can help you out.Need help or tutoring? Check out the .

Can you see it with the naked eye ? Is it in a part of the blade that contacts your face/neck ? I've got one that came to me shave ready with a micro chip and I live with it. It is S-30V steel and harder than hell. Honing it out would be a chore I'd rather wait on until the overall blade requires honing. So IMHO it is better not to have a chip but if it is shaving alright, and you don't want to mess with it ..... optional. If I can see it with the naked eye, not only with magnification, or if it effects the shave, I would hone it out.

If you don't know how to hone don't practice on the DD. You will probably do more damage than good. if the chip is small and it does not affect shaving I would let it be until the razor needs honing.
Also trying to describe chips by "can you see it" doesn't mean much since your vision affects that too. It should be by how many mm deep and across. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

Like TBS said, if it doesn't effect the shave leave it go until it needs honing.
