Thanked: 247Boker scale swap question.
I know this might be a lazy way to do it. But I also know if the right person sees this thread, they'll be able to answer from memory in about a half a second. I've been waiting for a good pair of factory Boker scales to put on a razor I restored a long time ago. I came across this Red Injun. Would it be consistent with manufacture date to put the Red Injun scales on my other one? I'm not trying to put something together that was never offered by Boker. Thanks guys.

I can't imagine why not. Those are pretty typical Boker-marked scales. Besides, it's not like you're setting them into stone, maybe someday you'll find something you like even better.

Thanked: 247Yeah if I could find a replacement for the feather patterned ones that were original to it, I'd be going that route. Anyhow, in 48 pages of the Boker Brotherhood, I didn't see a single Unrivalled Hollow Ground. Maybe I oughta throw it together and post over there. Thanks!

I spent alot of time look for a set of the same scales for my model 1101. I wanted to use the original pattern and now that I finally found a set I am taking it nice and slow I don't want to end up breaking them after all the time searching for them. Good luck on the search.

Thanked: 247Oh I didn't wait long. lol. Lucky thing for me was I was able to re-use the original domed washers, which really made me happy! The back side is UV damaged, so eventually these scales will get replaced as well. But in the interim, I'm so happy to see this thing in original scales again!

Is that back scale turning brown -- hard rubber turning brown like an old tire? If it is, you might be able to polish that out.
