Really, I needed another one!
Yesterday I came to the conclusion that I could not possibly live without one more razor. So, a Dovo Pearlex 5/8 is now making its way to my front door from SRD. I am easily distracted by shiny objects, and the gold on this one has me mesmerized! I can't wait to get her in rotation...

A couple of weeks ago I decided that I had pretty much rounded out my collection and, apart from a couple very special razors, I didn't really see myself getting much more that I didn't intend to sell.
Fast forward to now and I have 7 razors in various states of transport to me.
See, my collection is 95% Sheffield.
There are FRENCH razors too!
(and American)
(and German)
(and Spanish)
(and Japanese)
(and Scottish)
(and Dutch)
(and Etruscan)
(and ... and ... and ...)

Gentlemen,
I have concluded that, when viewing straight razors, too much of a good thing is good. Through the years, I have experienced unpleasant phases of cleaning house in my modest razor collection, only to rebuild another modest collection. I have stopped doing that. Now I buy with much consideration and care — and this phase is a keeper. Which reminds me: there's an old Paul Schulze I've been eying and . . .
