Default 9/8 Wade & Butcher Celebrated

Just received this after snagging it from the buy it now option. The price was way reasonable and the blade looked good. Turns out it is better than it showed in the photos. Minimal hone wear and the horn scales are in excellent shape. I plan on hitting it with some Mother's polish, scrubbing and neatsfoot on the scales, then take it to the hones. I expect this will be an excellent shaver. I will post pics when it's done. I know there is plenty of these out there, and I had been wanting one for a while. Gald I found one in good shape. Should be my last (number seven) razor. Ha!

Nice, I got lucky a few years back and got a Celebrated in a buy it now on the bay for $15.00 + a few bucks shipping. A good example of the patina I like to keep rather than shining it up like a new dime in a goat's a$$. Not long before that a 'Barber's Use' tang stamped for $80.00. It is the one in the center of the the three razors. The bargains come up if you keep your eyes peeled. Enjoy your new W&B.

Very nice! The hollow ground and double stabilized ones are easiest to hone and provide excellent shaves. It looks great as it is to me! Here's mine!

Not in the least! Believe me, there are many out there! For example, I bought this on on Ebay several months ago. Coupla Hundred, I think?
Hang in, one will come along.

Yep, I know there are many. And it seems I am having no luck at all. I bought many razors on eBay, when it comes to the W&B for Barber's Use, I always lose it in the very last seconds.
I will hang on, hoping it will come along..... my way!

I can't help but think there are a bunch of us here at SRP bidding against each other for these!

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanks to you all. This particular W&B razor does not have the arrow and cross markings. Anyone know the approximate date of this razor? All I know is it is pre-1891. Thanks again.

We should take turns until everyone has a W&B barbers use! Who wants to go first?
It's just corn syrup... Warm, blood flavored, corn syrup ...
