Very nice! Indeed hard to find in that shape. They are always cracked or broken, it seems. Bob is a good seller. The best!
Here is one I had, as I received it. It cleaned up beautifully and now lives with a friend down under!
One thing to note about these scales. The pearl tends to crumble under the pins, causing the wedge to spin and the blade to be loose! Then someone tries to pin tight......CRACK! If it gets loose, the only cure is to completely unpin and oversize the pearl and not the liners so as to use a reinforced collar against the liners. Very tedious work! I have collected 7 uncracked sets over many years with which to make a 7 day set. Some are pinned collarless and some not. Some have black wedges and some pewter or lead. Several different makes of blades were in them, about half like yours, albeit not as nice.Last edited by sharptonn; 08-21-2012 at 10:52 PM.

Well, since Jimmy mentioned it I'll post mine. Another bit of eye candy for everyone but the pictures don't do these justice.

Thanked: 443Man, those are pretty, and have almost all of my favorite features. Where do they fit in the chronology of W&B blades?

They are post 1891, but I feel well into the early 1900's. Here is one I "saved" a long while back with bits of broken ivory scales.

Indeed not easy! Finding them uncracked with crappy blades at affordable prices will leave you cross-eyed after years of looking at Ebay listings!
Thanks!
