    Default Thiers issard?????

This razor is very confusing. It has the Spartacus registered trademark etching on the face of the blade. But when you flip it over, it has made in Germany stamped on the tang. Thiers issard holds the rights to the spartacus logo which is a french manufacturer. Do I have my facts right.I bought it at an antique store, honed it up and it shaved really well. I thought maybe its a fake of some sort?????? Any help from someone would be awesome! Sorry about the poor quality pics.

If it doesn't have the TI company logo on the tang (which thing I can't say from your pictures) could it be that TI charged some German manufacturer to do it for them?

It could have been made by a German company for TI or TI could have bought the Spartacus logo from a German company. I'm sure that someone will be along who can shed more detailed light on it.

Just guessing but Spartacus is a popular name so it probably has nothing to do with TI. Possibly it predates their patent.

I'm sure our resident historians will come by with the true dope.
