I like this!! I just found this thread tonight. Thanks for putting this together and sharing it.
I am new to this hobby and am geeking out trying to learn as much as I can. I know my OCD has kicked in and I am falling in love with the art of the razor as well as the needed skill. This helps to fill both the OCD and the love of the art.
Life's wisdoms: Cigars: Never trust air you can't see; sharp objects are never sharp enough; find what you love in life and give it everything you can!!

I am very glad to tell everyone my straight razor ruler has been added to the SRP Library. Now it can also be downloaded from this page: Straight Razor Ruler - Straight Razor Place Library
I would like to express my gratitute to SRP mods and, in particular, to Hirlau for having adapted the initial post of this thread for the library as well as for having added the PDF file to the media section.
Enjoy the ruler! The RazorGuy - StraightRazorChannel on Youtube and Google+

After rereading the initial post, where you asked for potential improvements, the only one I can think of is to have it go a bit larger for wider blades, maybe up to 11/8 as the widest blades anyone seems to really get are about 10/8.
That's not to say it isn't a great tool as is, i used mine in a post recently.Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
