Wosty enthusiasts... I need your help!!!!!
I just purchased a Wostenholm frameback razor that is in good condition but needs some work. But that is for a later post. Here is my quandary: I have done hours upon hours of research and can not find another razor like the one I purchased. I have seen many Wosty's with the frameback printed with "Geo. Wostenholm and Son's Doubly Carbonized I-XL Razor". But I have yet to find a razor where the frameback has cursive writing. I would dearly love to see a picture of such a blade with the full text intact as well as any history behind it.
What I have found in my research:
My razor:
Thank you for any help you can give.

Well, for starters, Nice Blade! You have pictured two different types of true framebacks! The one at top has the frame and tang integral with the blade added.
Yours has the tang and blade one-piece with the frame slid over the spine of the blade! I have both, but can say both types are great razors with ones like yours being usually much lighter in weight. It surely was not used/honed much or the script would all be honed away! I am sure someone here has one with all the script intact. Nice Work!
