Never seen them before, but I guess they're in good shape.
If that's ivory, then you've got some nice winners there considering the original duobox.
Really nice score!

I looked those over pretty closely and almost picked them up, the seller said the scales were celluloid, (means nothing) but I do see they look fairly perfect as far as coloring and that break with the string around it concerned me. How often does ivory break at a 90 degree across the grain? Regardless those are sweet looking and now I am regretting not hitting the button before you.
Those are very unique I love covered tangs. I think you got a steal and a true collectors piece.
Make sure you post Follow up info and better photos please.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanked: 20The string was just there and had no purpose, he said he took it off and there was nothing on the handle, maybe for a price tag or something, will post more pics when I recieve them. I have seen alot of W&B"s razors but never any with ivory scales! Any more info would be appreciated, thanks.

Oh good, I assumed the string was hiding a break.
That's even better..

Now that I look even closer and think about it, that crack near the rear pin, probably would not look like that if it was plastic.
Looks like a crack in some of my bone scales, but the coloring does NOT look like bone....
You may have a winner........now im really kicking myself in the butt for not asking him about the string......

I thought you might like the link, as it shows how yours are probably made...Even though it's a different brand,Last edited by sidmind; 09-05-2012 at 03:37 PM.
