    Sharptonn i wish i had photos to show you. I just won it off of ebay. It still may be there its the only golden beetle on the bay right now. Thats if it hasn't been taken down yet.

    There it is! F. Westpfal (sometimes spelled Westfal) was an importer at 186 E. Houston St. in New York City from 1884-1928.
    Probably was made and stamped for them from an unknown German maker, as was the practice back then.

    Interestingly there is a small cutlery and sharpening shop with an apparant stellar reputation, H. Westpfal operating in New York. A descendant? Would be kindof cool if they could hone it up for you!
