    Default Sharp ?

    I have a couple of straights that "feel" sharp. How can I tell if there shave ready besides shaving with them? Haven't made the jump to straights yet.

    Read the help files and search the Honing forum. There's plenty of reading on sharpness tests over there. Good luck and enjoy.

    The Hanging Hair Test. If a clean dry hair will be easily cut in half when gently brougt down on the edge, it's time for the Shave Test.
