Thanked: 884John Pound and Co w/ivory
Got a few more tiny gaps to get rid of yet, but it shaves nicely as it is.
About a half hollow.
John Pound & Co, 81, 82, & 83 Leadenhall St
Anybody know anything about 'em?
Thanks,

Thanked: 884But it DOES say "actual makers". SURELY they wouldn't try to lead anyone astray.
But you're right about the quality. It's definitely up there and it's typical of older Sheffields, it shaves smooooooooth even with the couple of little snaggles it still has. I'll get serious and hone 'em out next time, but for now, I'll run it and enjoy it.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. Nice to see the ivory in good condition too.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Very nice, thanks for posting. I saw one last week and wondered the same thing. It was way to rough to bother with.
