Thread: "New" Razors

Below is a description of a set of 3 razors I just bought from Ebay. I figured at $10 a razor wasnt too bad, and I get to restore something and have a real razor! My father-in-law can help restore since he restores knives, and is a blade smith! Any info that someone knows about these is greatly appreciated!

AN INSTANT COLLECTION JUST OUT OF AN ESTATE HERE IN JACKSON, TN. THREE NICE USED STRAIGHT RAZORS FOR YOUR COLLECTION. THEY ARE IN USED CONDITION, MAKERS ARE S.H.K. & CO. MADE IN GREMANY, THE NEXT ONE IS JON ENGSTROM ESKILSTUNA. AND THE LAST WITH THE YELLOW HANDLE MATERIAL IS MARKED, ANTONI TADROSS. THESE CONE IN THREE CASES BUT NONE OF THE CASES MATCH THE RAZORS BY NAME ETC. THE CASE NAMES ARE GARDNER 1881, WADSWORTH RAZOR CO. ,AND THE LAST CASE IS, CLANIBERG BROTHERS. ALL THREE CASES HAVE HEAVY WEAR AND ALL THREE RAZORS HAVE STAINS AND SLIGHT RUST ON THE METAL AS SEEN IN PICTURES. NO CHIPS OR DINGS ON ANY OF THE THREE BLADES. HANDLES ARE GOOD ON ALL THREE EXCEPT THE YELLOW HAS SOME OLD CRACKS BUT DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE HANDLE MATERIAL. IT MAY BE BONE, HORN ETC NOT SURE. SELLING ALL THREE, " AS IS "

They're all good names. Two of the razors are a bit tired looking, but I think you can make something out of them and have some fun in the process.

The German razor looks to be pretty good shape.

Good to hear! I wasnt sure if they were good or not but didnt see them on the naughty list here! Even if they werent good just over $10 a razor wasnt a bad deal I thought!
