Thanked: 3225That is interesting, I have an unstamped 4/8 french point Wapi blade. What size is yours and what do the markings look like?

Thanked: 3225That looks good and if it is your first wedge blade you are in for a different feeling shave. I only have the blade and have not got around to putting scales on it yet. Too many irons in the fire.

Thanked: 116Are you alluding to the fact that some seem to hone like a charm and others have big issues? That's what I've been reading but I couldn't resist the purchase!

I won one on eBay in June for a little more than I was hoping to pay. The description just gave the basic facts, no chips, scratches or cracks...etc. when I received mine is was a stamped 11/16 NOS. took my time honing it, because it was the first stainless blade I had honed and I have to tell you, it is an excellent shaver! Good luck and many happy shaves!

Yep...I don't know if I'd worry too much...I seem to remember some of the extremely active honing members saying the steel crumbled on about 30% (could be pulling that out of thin air)...but a lot of people love them...the what if always scared me away from dropping $75-$100 on one, but they sure are pretty.
