    Default Found a loophole

I promised my wife that I wouldn't buy any more straight razors for a while, having aquired about 15 in the last couple of months. So I got round it by buying this:

I just picked it up on ebay for $16.00! Should be interesting to see how it shaves.

Nice one! Dare I mention DE razors...?

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

They actually shave quite well. Don't be fooled by the safety bar these razors will bit you! It takes a lot of effort to strop up an edge with so short a strop to travel but it is doable.
    YMMV
    It just keeps getting better

They're a great little razor and if nothing else a cool piece of engineering and neat conversation piece. I love mine and hope you enjoy yours

Damn, I thought it was a loophole in time so I could go get some nice hones for pennies!

It's hard to see in the pics what kind of shape the blade is in. When these things are well-honed or just plain new (you still see virtually new blades) -- they shave just beautifully.

Two things -- good luck shaving just underneath your nose -- VERY tricky. And -- be careful re-packing your razor -- the stones crack very easily and that's usually from people trying to force the lid into place.
