Thread: Straight razor identification 2#

Hello guys,

I hope you can help me on these 2 straights.

- With the snake wood imitation scale:
Side#1 - Zenith Made In Germany
Side#2 - G.H Fralick, Wichita Kan.

- With the black scale:
Side#1 Clauss - Fremont. O - The Magnetic Razor

Hi There,

Henrie Clauss is a fairly well known razor maker, the razors were stamped with Fremont O between 1917-1920 according to Goin's. This is a fairly narrow dateline which is rare and awesome

The Zenith Made In Germany stamp is dated in Goin's to be between 1989-1925, while the makers stamp was said to be used between 1920-1940. I would go with the 1920-1940 date because the Zenith mark is a model, and the maker operated between these dates. The scales on the Zenith are MOST attractive!!!
