Default Just received a straight razors and would like info on restoring, using and IDing it

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum and joined to try to find more info on this.

My late father left this razor to me and I would like to restore it as much as possible. It is in good shape but I would like to improve it.

I know it is a Lafayette Cutlery Co razor and that this trademark was used by Wiebush & Hilger from 1909 - 1921.

But I would like to learn more about this razor, anything at all, if anyone is familiar with this particular razor.

    Thanks!

Welcome to SRP. Your razor looks to be in good shape from what I can see in the photos. If you look in the SRP classifieds up in the tool bar above, scroll down to 'member services' you'll find members who hone razors for a nominal fee. Further 'restoration' is optional and adds to the fees.

The same toolbar has the SRP Library. Check out the beginner's guide for tips on shaving with straights and maintaining them.
