Thanked: 275Shoulderless Dovo's -- opinions?
I've been looking over some catalogs, and see that Dovo has a whole line of shoulderless razors -- "Carre", "Flowing", "La Forme" among others.
. . . Are they identical grinds, with variations in spine decoration and blade etch, and scales?
. . . Is there anyone who'd like to comment on how they shave?
Just curious --
. . Charles. . . . . Mindful shaving, for a better world.

Shoulderless Dovo's -- opinions?
Can't speak to the others but, I have the Flowing and it shaves great. Comfortable to hold and maneuver. Says its a 6/8 but i believe its closer to 7/8 to the top of the waves. Always bumping it up in the rotation.
Strops easy and holds an edge well. Every 10-14 shave or so I run across the swaty hone a few times.

The Dovo shoulderless is my favorite profile Dovo blade.

Thanked: 1195I can't comment on the above models, but I have one of Dovo's classic shoulderless razors - the Bismarck. Shaves right up there with the best of 'em IMO. Though technically a full hollow the blade is rather stiff, and the spine adds some heft that most hollows don't have.

As far as Dovo shoulderless goes, the Bismarck is fantastic, so is the Bergischer Lowe.
