Thanks guys. I have tried some of the suggestions. I cleaned up the oil from the new blade from all angles, using tissue and paper towel. After shaving it wasn't so bad. I am careful when rinsing and while shaving. Only clean dry hands touch or hold the SR. I rinse the blade during and after, but don't get water past the heel. I started with the small detailed wiping the first time, but found there was nothing to wipe inside the scales or around the pivot, so I've already stopped. Perhaps that will be once a week. I did wipe with a cloth pinched around the spine, up to but not actually touching the edge, swiping from heel to toe. I did strop 10 and 20 which I might reduce to 6 and 10 when I get better at stropping. I did leave it out to air dry each time but was lucky. The fiance won't be allowing that in the future. I inspected frequently and have no visible issues. I will likely add the alcohol step as I like that a bit. I am not oiling the blade per se. As an experiment, I did rub some eyebrow oil onto it the second day and that seemed like a fine idea. I was going to buy some mineral oil, but found I actually have 'blade oil' from some electric trimmer kit I got years ago. If I anticipate no shaving for more than 48 hours, I'll put a drop of that on there and spread it around.

In general, I'm stoked with the blade. I'm not good at using it, but it sure is a nice blade!
