    Default Cowboy and Sanssouci

Does anyone have any recent experience with these blades? I've talked to the seller and he says they are from old henkels friodur blanks and the man that grinds them is in his 70's and used to work for henckels.

Is any of this true? he seems to be a reputable seller!

I'm waiting for Glen to add his 2 cents. He's never failed me yet.

I believe the vendor is an honest man and I believe the circumstances he describes for the origins of the razor are accurate.
I have two of the Sansoucci's and while they take a bit more effort to hone that edgle we all desire you can get it there and
enjoy the resulting shaves. I removed the gold wash from the blades on mine because it seemed out of place to me. I think
the "Cowboy" blade is the identical blade as the Sanscoucci with the exception of decoration.
    YMMV

Apparently this is the actual guy that works the Sanssouci and Cowboy blanks.

The vendor told me he has visited the shop many times.

I bought the Sansoucci earlier this year. It is a 13/16 with goldwash. If you look back there was a thread or two about the Sansoucci, and as I posted then, I love mine. It is a fantastic shaver, equal to anything I own. I have not changed my mind since. I would love to own a 7/8 or a Cowboy. IMO, these are great razors.
