    Default An Newcastle razor, help another time.

    Recently an friend said me that he´ll going to gibe me an razor that has in his home, just in a wall´s hole, razor that was found wen the hause war restored, actually I finished the cleaning of that and I,m sure tha it provably is english but has som dificults for my knowledge, has an ivory ore bne scales and a clasic primitive washers in the perns, the blade are surelly worked to restored the cut, it only has the mark NEWCASTLE and habe not tang, at first I thougth that was provably broken but a slowly study of the blade make me think tnis posibility are no possible (sorry) well I´m waiting your kindly help and a bit of your knowledge.

    That is the second old Sheffield I've seen in the last two days that looks to have been "double-ground" or partially hollow-ground. Maybe I'm just not seeing the picture right, but it's interesting. I wonder if it might have been re-ground. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

    Many Cutler's way back when believed that they would prolonged the life of the razor by hollow grinding and made a few bucks doing it!

    Hope the pictures say enough, couldn't it be that there would be another angle or a little hollow grinding at the smaller side, so that you can have that curve at the edge?Name:  DSCN1833.jpg
