    Nice find. Enjoy!

Plenty of life left in that blade imo

    Thanks Michael,

I actually put it on the stones the day I picked it up and shaved with it that night. 3 passes to silky smooth!
Blade is totally flat/true, no twisting, curving, smiling or the otherwise that would make it difficult to hone.
40x circles on the Naniwa 1k followed by 40 X strokes with light pressure.
40Xcircles on the Naniwa 5k with pressure, 20Xcircles with no pressure, 40x x stroke with no pressure.
40xcircles/x strokes on the 8k naniwa, no pressure
40xcircles/x strokes on the 12k naniwa, no pressure
40xcircles/x strokes on the welsh slate hones
20x x stroke on nylon webbing
20x x stroke on a cerium oxide treated strop
    50x x stroke on leather

    GREAT shave!
Not sure if my honing is overkill or if it's pretty typical, i'm still new to this.

Good looking razor. Every GW I've messed with has been an excellent shaver.

    Enjoy!

Enjoy it! One of the first razors I ever had was a conqueror - it was too far gone to be usable but I would dearly love a mint one.
