It was only text & it came out ok. He didn't quite get the desired depth of cut but as I said it took him 4x due to the hard steel.

Ahh, diamond engraving machine, how could I oversee that, I've used it for wedding bands i Ti and other hard non hand engraveable metals.
I'd still go for the laser thou!

Thanked: 10In spite of needing 4 passes to achieve the proper depth, I think the engraving came out well. I just wonder if that will work for such a small image.
Lasers certainly seem like the best option in terms of precision, but I am still curious about the possibility of acid etching. Have to do some more research I guess...
