Vesuvius Question
I may be picking up a razor that was found locally. It is a Vesuvius, and says Bresnick on the backside of the tang. After seeing it I did some research on this site and saw that this razor has been referred to as a Dubl Duck. However, the razor I saw has no Dubl Duck anywhere, either in name or the two little ducks. It does, however, have the brass grim reaper dude. So, if you know, is this Vesuvius razor a Dubl Duck or what? At this point, not really sure that it matters as I may just go pick it up anyway as the razor is in good shape, just need some cleaning up and honing.

Thanked: 13245Ummm yeah you might want to snag that up
They are a DD cousin and quite rare
Warning: That is a razor that probably should be kept well clear of Myself and Thebigspendur, we cannot be held responsible for our actions should we be in the same room as that razorLast edited by gssixgun; 10-11-2012 at 10:28 PM.

Those are rare models and pre-date the actual Grim reaper. Before Mr Bresnick decided to use ducks or the DD logo his razors were just Bresnick or CS Bresnick. Some said Lifetime on them. I have a Vesuvius and it's a great shaver.

You both answered my question, thank you. I was confused because in researching this sight I saw the Vesuvius model referred to as a Dubl Duck. Now I see the connection. My friend is holding the razor for me (it's a hardware type store) and I'll pick it up soon, then post some pics. Thank you again!
