Thanked: 2Question
I bought a JA Henckels set today and the stamp is their mark from 1850 to 1899. They have the number 91 also. what does the number mean? Does it stand for 1891? Quality etc.?

Thanked: 116I've yet to find anything that deciphers the numbers on henckels razors. I've got one that has a #50 on it that's a round point, i've seen a #50 on a square point as well from the same time period... If you ever come across anything, please share, I'm sure there are enough people interested.

The number refers to how many shaves it's good for. After that it is useless and should be sent to me.
